Company Description:

Welcome to Funovation, where we create heart-pounding addictive attractions that require brain & brawn! We founded this creative company to design, manufacture, market and install amusement attractions based on cool ideas that would be fun to try. We create products that are Fun, Innovative, Safe and High-quality. The first line of attractions is the Laser Maze Challenge™. This is an attraction that sets up a web of lasers and times participants navigating their way through them. For example, imagine being a jewel thief having to navigate through a web of lasers to capture a priceless jewel and then returning through the maze to safety and pressing a button at the end, determining your time. Position:

The Director of Sales will, in essence, own all things Sales. You will be responsible for our amazing direct sales team as well as managing our channel partners. You will "own" the process of delivering results from all markets. Put another way, the buck stops with you in regards to our selling efforts and its ultimate results. As Director of Sales, you will have full support from Funovation, but will be given the autonomy and flexibility to manage your teams and markets in the best manner you determine. Company sales and growth goals will form the metrics for this position; however it will be your creative ownership that will create the path and Funovation's increased success!


Job Function / Purpose:

This position has the primary responsibility of managing and directing the company's worldwide sales efforts to achieve profitable sales volume. Generally provides leadership, direction, counsel and guidance to other team members to ensure sales goals are met or exceeded.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Responsible for hiring, directing, motivating and inspiring sales team.
2. Responsible for setting accurate sales forecast on an ongoing basis.
3. Attends relevant trade shows and acts as the "spokes person" for the company.
4. Responsible for international channel management. Under various markets and tactics in over 11 countries.
5. Responsible for promoting enhancement to products as directed by customers. Work closely with production.
6. Responsible for establishing and maintaining key strategic accounts that provide financial stability for the company.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Supervision:

Must be able to work independently with minimal direction.


Supervisory Duties:

Supervises a sales team, channel partners and customer relationships.

Job Qualifications - Job Skills and Abilities:

— To have fun.
A key skill required to be a part of the Funovation team. We all work our tails off, but we sure do enjoy the ride! The Director of Sales must not only buy into this vision, but also help create it for his/her team. (One of our goals: To Deliberately Foster the Funovation Culture)
— Excellent management skills.
You must have experience managing and inspiring teams. You will lead and ultimately be responsible for the entire sales process. This includes training, goal setting, reporting. You must also be able to manage remote teams including distributors and sales reps. (One of our goals: To Make a Profit)
— Excellent communication skills.
This is such an ambiguous statement, but one that honors and respects open, clear, timely, courteous and honest communications. International experience both in travel and communication is a must.
— Excellent phone/conferencing rapport.
Most, if not all, of the selling process will be done by you and your team via phone. An ability to connect with potential and current customers via phone is key. Managing the remote teams and channels will also require phone and conferencing techniques.
—Strategic Account management.
The ability to recognize, establish and maintain key strategic accounts that will give Funovation sales stability as well as prestige to easily win smaller sales and help continue to establish Funovation as a leader in this industry.
— International channel management.
We market and sell our products throughout the world. We currently have locations in 11 countries in North America, Asia, Europe and The Middle East. A competent understanding of these international markets and tactics to accomplishing sales in these markets will be important. Not to mention, a lot of fun!
— Excellent organizational skills.
Especially since we are in a high growth stage of the company, the ability to process and organize many activities will be critical.
— Experience with ACT! and other contact management tools.
ACT is the contact manager we use and a familiarity with its workings will be helpful. While this is the current tool, it will also be your responsibility to either maintain and improve its use or choose a new tool that will continue to assist the entire company with contact management. Creating and managing reporting will be key as well.
— Excellent project management skills.
While you will tend not to manage the process from sale complete to installation, you will need to manage your team to completion. The Project Manager will be leading this effort and it will be your responsibility to support this effort. The ultimate goal always being a delighted and successful customer. — A comfortable multi-tasker.
As with most dynamic, fast-growing companies, many side projects will arise that will be important to the completion of the sale. You will have
to manage your team's ability to accomplish these varied tasks. As well, you yourself must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and relish the variety!
— A strong computer background.
Many software programs will be utilized when selling and developing each market. Programs such as Word, Excel, Photoshop, and others.
Competent knowledge and confidence here will be important.
— Product and service enhancement.
You must work with the other Funovation teams to help suggest and drive product and service enhancement that will help our sales team
(and ultimately our customers) succeed. You will become the voice of the customer. (One of our goals: Continuous Improvement through
Innovation)

Education:

Degree in Business Management or related area

Experience:

— 10+ years sales management experience
— Experience working in a growth business
— "Amusement & attractions industry" helpful – knows "how to have fun"

Work Environment / Physical Activites:

1. Up to 25% travel, international and domestic.
2. Must "play well in the sandbox". You will interact with all areas of the company in order to accomplish the determined goals.
3. Attitude: Most important! A "can do" attitude is a must. One who relishes a new challenge and is inspired and excited to "own" their work and do whatever it takes to deliver the determined results/deliverables.
4. Must understand vague and implicit instructions, and react favorably in all work situations. Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people. Is frequently called upon to handle difficult situations.
5. Must be able to deal with a variety of emotions and frustrations in making business decisions. Emotional stability and personal maturity are important attributes in this position.
6. Must be able to analyze many variables and choose the most effective course of action for the organization at any given point in time. Must handle novel and diverse work problems on a daily basis.
7. Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure. Must care to listen to people, perceive the real problems and bring issues to a successful conclusion.

Compensation Package:
